Szene 1

1 Einstellung · 6s
  • Einstellung 1 · Totale · 6s

A rain-darkened studio is revealed through the fixed geography of the room. The artist is already present with the back turned and the raised hood merging into the window's darkness, creating mystery without offering even a partial face.

Szene 2

1 Einstellung · 8s
  • Einstellung 2 · Detail · 8s

The work begins through the artist's hands rather than his face. The camera stays close to the charcoal, paper and fabric, making the act intimate while preserving total anonymity.

Szene 3

1 Einstellung · 10s
  • Einstellung 3 · Über die Schulter · 10s

A sudden sound at the rear door interrupts the work. The artist does not reveal himself; instead, he protects the mystery by extinguishing the lamp and turning the hooded head away from every possible angle.

Szene 4

1 Einstellung · 10s
  • Einstellung 4 · Totale · 10s

The room settles after the interruption. The artist returns to the canvas and completes the work, but the composition makes the painting, hands and hood the only readable subjects; the person beneath the hood remains unknowable.

Die Geschichte

Geschrieben von Deril Manhaten

Ursprünglicher Text – zum Aufklappen klicken

“The artist's face must NEVER be visible at any point in the video. Keep the character completely anonymous and mysterious. His hood must remain fully covering his head throughout every scene. His face must always be hidden in complete darkness, deep shadow, silhouette, darkness, smoke, or be turned completely away from the camera. NEVER show his eyes, nose, mouth, beard, skin, facial features, or any recognizable facial detail. Do not reveal the face even for a single frame. Use back views, side angles with the face completely obscured, silhouettes, cropped shots, shadows, smoke and shots focused on the hood, hands, clothing and body instead. The character must remain visually mysterious and completely unidentifiable from beginning to end.”
