He fights for humanity. But the world must never know his name. ⸻ MAIN CHARACTERS ULTRAMAN — Daniel Vale, 32 A quiet, compassionate man who lives among ordinary people. He possesses extraordinary strength, flight, invulnerability, super speed, heat vision and heightened senses. His powers come from an ancient cosmic energy hidden beneath Earth. He protects humanity anonymously because he fears that revealing himself would make him a weapon in the hands of governments. DR. MAYA SHAH, 30 A brilliant astrophysicist who studies unexplained energy signals beneath the Earth’s surface. Intelligent, fearless and compassionate, she believes humanity deserves hope. She sees something special in Daniel before she discovers his secret. VEXAR, 35 (ALIEN YEARS) A lean, wiry but terrifyingly strong alien warlord from the dying planet Kharon. He moves with unnatural speed, possesses immense strength and can manipulate gravitational energy. He has conquered entire worlds and believes weaker civilisations exist only to serve the powerful. GENERAL HARRIS, 55 A military commander struggling to protect humanity from a threat beyond human understanding. ⸻ SCREENPLAY SCENE 1 — THE MAN WHO FELL FROM THE SKY EXT. LONDON — NIGHT Duration: 1 minute Rain lashes the streets. Sirens scream through the darkness. A passenger aircraft spirals out of control above the city. Its engines burn, and terrified passengers scream inside. The pilot fights the controls. PILOT (RADIO) Mayday! Mayday! We’ve lost both engines! We’re going down! Below, thousands of people look up in horror. Suddenly, a dark figure shoots through the clouds. A BOOM of displaced air shakes the windows. The figure reaches the falling aircraft and catches it beneath its fuselage. The plane’s metal groans under the strain. Inside the cockpit, the pilot stares in disbelief. PILOT What… what is that? The mysterious figure is a man wearing a dark, silver-lined suit. His face is concealed by a fitted mask. A faint blue symbol glows across his chest. ULTRAMAN. He strains for a moment, then lifts the enormous aircraft above the city. He carries it towards an abandoned airfield and lowers it onto the runway with extraordinary precision. The wheels touch the ground. Silence. Then the passengers erupt in cheers. Phones rise into the air, recording the mysterious stranger. Ultraman looks towards the cameras. ULTRAMAN Get everyone out. Quickly. He launches upwards. A thunderous sonic boom follows. The sky is empty. A little girl looks up at her father. LITTLE GIRL Daddy… was he an angel? Her father watches the clouds. FATHER I don’t know, sweetheart. He pauses. FATHER But tonight, he was ours. CUT TO BLACK. TITLE CARD: ULTRAMAN ⸻ SCENE 2 — THE SECRET BENEATH THE EARTH INT. ABANDONED UNDERGROUND CHAMBER — NIGHT Duration: 1 minute 30 seconds Ten years earlier. A young Daniel Vale stands inside an ancient underground chamber, illuminated by a pulsating blue crystal embedded in the rock. The chamber lies beneath a remote mountain range. Daniel’s hands tremble. The crystal floats above a circular platform, surrounded by symbols older than human civilisation. A voice echoes through the chamber. ANCIENT VOICE The world above is young. Its people are fragile. Their future is uncertain. Daniel looks around. DANIEL Who are you? ANCIENT VOICE We are the last memory of a civilisation that existed before your sun was born. The crystal brightens. Images appear in the air: a vast alien civilisation, beautiful cities, and finally a planet consumed by darkness. ANCIENT VOICE We buried the Core of Eternity beneath this world. Its energy can sustain life… or destroy it. Daniel approaches. DANIEL Why hide it here? ANCIENT VOICE Because one day, a world would need a guardian. The crystal sends a beam of blue light into Daniel’s chest. He collapses. His heart pounds. The chamber shakes. His vision changes. He can see the smallest particles of dust floating in the air. He hears water moving deep beneath the mountain. Daniel rises several feet above the ground. DANIEL What is happening to me? ANCIENT VOICE You have been chosen, Daniel Vale. The light spreads across his body. ANCIENT VOICE Your strength will exceed the limits of flesh. The heavens will become your road.
