Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TaleScene ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

TaleScene is an AI-powered storyboard generation platform that converts text stories into visual scenes. The Service includes script generation, image generation, and story management features.

3. User Accounts

• You must authenticate via Google to access account features.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• You must not share your account or use another person's account.

4. Credits & Billing

• Free accounts receive 20 credits on first sign-up for scripting and storyboard previews. Video-model generation, voiced clips, and finished films are paid for with the same credits — billed per second of generated footage — so the exact cost depends on cast, shot count, and shot length, and is always shown before you confirm. The free grant on its own rarely covers a full film.
• Paid subscriptions provide additional credits as described on our Pricing page.
• Unused subscription credits roll over while your subscription remains active: each renewal extends the expiry of your remaining subscription credits to the newest grant's expiry date. After cancellation, remaining subscription credits expire at their then-current expiry date (about one month after the final renewal). One-time pack credits are valid for 1 year from purchase.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis, except that fees are non-refundable where your account is terminated for a violation of these Terms (see the Termination & Enforcement section).

5. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of the stories you submit. For AI-generated content:

• You receive a broad license to use, share, and commercially exploit storyboards generated through your account.
• We do not claim ownership of your generated storyboards.
• You are responsible for ensuring your input stories do not violate third-party rights.

6. Prohibited Use

You may not use the Service to:

• Generate illegal, harmful, or abusive content
• Generate, submit, or process any pornographic, sexually explicit, or otherwise NSFW (not-safe-for-work) content. This includes using the Service to create sexually explicit images or videos, and creating non-consensual intimate or sexualized imagery of any real person
• Generate any sexual or sexually suggestive content involving minors, or any child sexual abuse material (CSAM), including any depiction of a minor in a state of undress, nudity, or sexualization — whether real, fictional, or AI-generated. This is strictly prohibited with zero tolerance.
• Generate content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers children in any form
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Attempt to reverse-engineer the AI models
• Overload or disrupt the Service infrastructure
• Resell access to the Service without authorization
• Circumvent, disable, or attempt to bypass any content moderation, safety filter, or usage limit

7. Termination & Enforcement

• We may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without prior notice if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms — including, without limitation, the Prohibited Use section above.
• Upon termination for a violation of these Terms, any unused credits are forfeited and any fees or subscription payments already made are non-refundable.
• We reserve the right to report illegal content or activity — in particular any content involving the sexual exploitation of minors — to law enforcement and to the appropriate authorities (including, where applicable, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children), and to preserve and disclose related account information as required by law.
• Termination of your account does not limit any other remedies available to us at law or in equity.

8. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

TaleScene is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
