“## AFTER — Episode 001: The Last Guest The penthouse was quiet except for the rain tapping against the windows and the low pulse of music drifting from the living room. Mara, thirty-two, stood by the bar in a black satin dress, turning a glass of wine between her fingers. She had been about to leave when Alex, thirty-five, appeared in the doorway. “You're still here,” he said. She glanced over her shoulder, a slow smile forming. “Disappointed?” “Not even slightly.” He approached, stopping just close enough for her to notice the warmth of him, but leaving the final inch between them untouched. For a moment, neither spoke. “You've been looking at me all night,” she whispered. “Waiting for you to notice.” She set down her glass. Outside, lightning illuminated the skyline, briefly turning the room silver. His eyes met hers, and the playful confidence in her expression softened into something more vulnerable. “What happens if I ask you to stay?” she asked. He held her gaze. “You'll have to ask.” Mara stepped closer, her fingertips brushing his hand. “Stay.” He smiled, but before he could answer, her phone vibrated on the bar. One message. No name. DON'T TRUST HIM. ASK WHAT HAPPENED LAST SUMMER. Mara's expression changed. Alex noticed. “What's wrong?” She turned the screen toward him. For the first time that evening, he looked genuinely afraid. And then he said something she never expected. “Who sent you that?” Cut to black. AFTER. And then what?”
