“THE CONVERSATION THAT NEVER FINISHED Animated Short Film — 40–45 Seconds Create a vertical 9:16 cinematic animated short film about two adult Moroccan female friends walking through a city, getting distracted by a donut shop, and ending up creating an unexpected donut-inspired makeup transformation at home. VISUAL STYLE Polished, stylized 3D animation, like a high-quality animated short film. Warm golden-hour city lighting, natural skin tones, expressive eyes and faces, realistic clothing textures, cinematic depth of field, subtle handheld-camera feeling, natural body language, quick comedic cuts, and smooth transitions. The film should feel like a spontaneous moment between two real friends. Do not make it look like an advertisement, product commercial, beauty tutorial introduction, or Halloween party promotion. CHARACTER CONTINUITY Main character: An adult Moroccan woman with long dark-brown hair, brown eyes, defined eyebrows, gold hoop earrings, a brown leather jacket, cream top, and dark jeans. She has a curious, expressive face and understated everyday makeup at the beginning. Friend: An adult Moroccan woman with long dark hair, distinct facial features, a different casual outfit, and a relaxed, expressive personality. Keep their faces, hair, clothing, height, and proportions consistent across every scene. The main character changes makeup only in the transformation sequence. At the end, return to the original street and the same outfits. SCENE 1 — WALKING AND CONVERSATION (0–5 seconds) Two friends walk side by side on a lively Moroccan city street in the late afternoon. Film them in a natural medium two-shot, followed by quick close-ups of their faces. They are already talking; do not show an introduction or title card. Friend says in Moroccan Darija: “Ana ila knt blastk, ma nkhellihch ydir lia hadchi.” Main character replies: “W ana ach dert daba?” The friend is explaining something seriously. The main character looks confused and slightly defensive. Their delivery is casual and conversational, not theatrical. SCENE 2 — SPOTTING THE DONUT SHOP (5–9 seconds) While the friend continues talking, the main character notices a donut shop through its window. She stops paying attention and turns her head toward the display. The friend asks: “Fhemtini chno kan9ol?” Main character, still looking at the shop, replies: “Ah ah.” Friend: “Chno gelt?” The main character does not answer. She continues looking at the donuts. The friend notices her distraction and gives her a knowing look. Use a quick cut from the main character’s eyes to the donuts in the window. SCENE 3 — CHOOSING THE DONUT (9–15 seconds) Show the friends entering the shop. Include a short exterior shot, a medium shot of them approaching the counter, close-ups of colourful donuts behind glass, and the main character comparing several options. She chooses one chocolate-glazed donut with colourful sprinkles and decorative icing. The friend watches patiently, mildly amused. Keep the shop visit brief, candid, and visually appealing. No promotional dialogue, no pointing at logos, and no sales pitch. SCENE 4 — AT HOME: THE IDEA (15–20 seconds) The main character arrives home and places the donut box on a table near her makeup vanity. She opens the box, picks up the chosen donut, and studies its chocolate glaze, colours, sprinkles, and shape. She glances at her makeup palette, looks back at the donut, then reaches for a brush. Her expression changes slightly as she gets an idea. Do not use dialogue. Let the pause and the look between the donut and the makeup products communicate the idea. SCENE 5 — THE MAKEUP PROCESS (20–31 seconds) Show a fast, visually satisfying montage of the main character creating a Halloween makeup look inspired by the selected donut. Include: 1. The donut next to a makeup palette containing similar colours. 2. Applying the makeup base in front of a vanity mirror. 3. A close-up of eyeliner and detailed eye makeup. 4. Creating chocolate-coloured decorative drips around the eyes, inspired by the donut’s icing. 5. Adding small glossy details and accents that echo the sprinkles. 6. A final close-up of the completed makeup. The finished look should be artistic, striking, chocolate-inspired, and suitable for a Halloween beauty look. Do not change the character’s identity or facial structure. Build anticipation through increasingly close shots and music. SCENE 6 — THE BITE TRANSFORMATION (31–39 seconds) This is the main visual payoff. First show the main character with her ORIGINAL NORMAL FACE, wearing her original clothes and holding the chocolate donut in front of her mouth. She brings the donut to her lips and takes a bite. As the donut briefly covers her mouth, make a seamless match cut to the EXACT SAME CAMERA ANGLE, pose, hand position, and donut position, but now she is wearing the completed chocolate-inspired Halloween makeup. She moves the donut away to reveal the transformed face. Next”
